UC Forward's Innovations in Science Communications class taught by University of Cincinnati journalism educator associate professor Elissa Yancey focuses on creating ways to make science relevant and entertaining for the normal folks. Our goal is to spread the scientific word.
Meet the class!
But how?
On April 16, in UC's Catskeller we are hosting UC Science Idol, a battle of wits between faculty and students. Contestants will go head to head, presenting their research for our audience (you) and a panel of expert judges.
No, this is not a series of lectures.
We are coaching our contestants to present their research in unique ways. You may see your Biology professor rap about the Endocrine System,... or see your lab partner set fire to the stage. Who knows?
Come see the mad scientists present at Catskeller April 16 from 4 to 6 p.m.
